Strengthening collaboration through trusted institutional support

RIfS offers institutional endorsement to initiatives that align with its mission, objectives, and research questions. Endorsement represents RIfS’ public support as a core project of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) and reflects our commitment to strengthening collaboration, knowledge exchange, and networked efforts.

RIfS considers three broad categories of initiatives:

• Research Projects – including research programmes.
• Events – such as town halls, webinars, conferences, congresses, workshops, and meetings.
• Other Initiatives – activities that do not fit the categories above but can benefit from and contribute to RIfS’ mission.

All requests are reviewed according to criteria defined by the RIfS Scientific Steering Group (SSG). External actors must submit endorsement requests through the forms below. The endorsement evaluation process for a research project can take up to eight weeks. Endorsement approval for events and other initiatives may be faster, but depends on the scale and nature of the initiatives. Please note that endorsement does not include financial support.
