1) The Regional Information for Society (RIfS) Core Project is calling for one new member to fill an opening on our Scientific Steering Group.
📌 This is the highest level coordinating body for RIfS.
📌Help us with the task of building a community to address important regional climate information gaps.

2) The Global Extremes Platform (GEP) is establishing a Working Group on Annual assessment of Weather and Climate Extremes (AWCE)
📌The Working Group will prepare yearly reports to be delivered in May of each year, with a retrospective analysis of events of the past year.
📌Extensive cooperation is planned between this Working Group as well as the GEP Working Group on Event Attribution, other WCRP initiatives, WMO, and other relevant organizations active in the field.
